제목: Functional Dissection of Synaptic Circuits Underlying Retinal Output Physiology
초록: Visual information output from the mammalian retina is mediated by over 40 types of retinal ganglion cels, which have distinct receptive properties (trigger features) and encode specific visual cues. Recent molecular, structural, and physiological studies have advanced our understanding of the function and underlying neural circuitry of retinal output. This seminar will present a summary of electrophysiological, two-photon imaging, and optogenetic studies of synaptic interactions and synaptic circuits that underlie the detection of contrast, uniformity, movement direction, and image orientation by retinal ganglion cell types.
